Willowharbor Credit, a small-business funding broker in Bloomington, Illinois, answers common questions from McLean County owners here: what a broker does, how to choose a structure, whether an LLC or a new business can apply, and what we do not arrange. Every approval or decline comes from a lending partner, never from Monroe Street.
About Willowharbor Credit
Is Willowharbor Credit a lender?
Willowharbor Credit is a broker, not a lender.
Why is a broker called Credit?
Credit is the subject we work in, not something we hand out. The name does not mean we lend.
Where is Willowharbor Credit?
113 E Monroe St, Bloomington, IL 61701, in McLean County, Illinois. Phone (309) 225-6781.
Do you work with owners in Normal, IL and nearby towns?
Yes, by phone and online. The areas page lists nearby towns.
Choosing and using funding
Which structure fits my business?
Start from the purpose: timing gaps suit working capital, projects suit term loans, recurring costs suit a line of credit, stock suits inventory financing, machines suit equipment financing. See how a request works.
Do advances count as loans at Willowharbor?
No. A funder buys a slice of future card or bank receipts and collects it day by day. Read how merchant cash advances work before signing one.
May an owner draw pay out of borrowed business money?
Business funding is lent for the business, and partners expect it spent that way. Owner pay drawn from business income is a normal expense, but using borrowed money for personal spending can breach the agreement. Ask the partner, and your accountant about the tax side.
Is a personal loan a sensible substitute for business funding?
It mixes personal and business finances and puts your household credit on the line. A business structure keeps the two separate, though many still come with a personal guarantee.
Applying from Illinois
Do Illinois LLCs qualify to apply?
Yes; LLCs apply routinely. Partners often look at the LLC's state record, so check it is active first.
What does the Willowharbor form ask for?
Full name, email, phone and an optional business name; pick-lists for time in business, annual revenue and the amount requested; and a consent checkbox. The purpose is the first topic on our callback.
Can a brand-new business apply?
You can call. Many partners prefer a trading history, so a very new business may find fewer options; the partner decides.
Do you arrange grants or SBA loans?
No. Grants are not a funding product we arrange, and Willowharbor is not an SBA lender. Free local advisors can explain those routes.
